Bone Nail
Definition:
An item having all surfaces polished, with an irregular hollow or solid cross section and a tapered leading edge, and which is designed for use in the intramedullary canal. The material from which the item is constructed must be completely corrosion resistant, inert in a living organism, and compatible with bone and tissue.
