Burn Blanket
Definition:
A saturated item with a nontoxic, biodegradable, bacteriostatic and water soluble, water and gel substance. It is designed for use in extinguishing fires and as a primary burn care treatment of humans. Also used to help the skin area to prevent further tissue damage, decrease edema, and reduce pain while helping to avoid hypothermia and dehydration of the tissues.
