Carbon Dioxide Gas Detector
Definition:
A non-toxic, chemically treated indicator device, designed for use between a TUBE, TRACHEAL, and a breathing circuit. It is to be used for detecting the approximate range of expired respiratory carbon dioxide gas by a patient during tracheal intubation or while the patient is intubated while on mechanical ventilation. This item can be visible through a plastic covering, which allows it to change color with each breath without a delay during a patient's respiratory inspiration and expiration cycle.
