Hydrocephalus Catheter Passer
Definition:
A malleable type instrument which allows a distal catheter to tunnel through an incision made to the patient's skull and abdomen. It may be inserted between the subcutaneous fat and fascia of the external oblique muscle depending upon the obesity of the patient.
