Hyperextension Brace
Definition:
An orthopedic appliance used for controlling flexion of the thoracolumbar spine. It may consist of a swivel sternal pad with slots and threaded holes for precise positioning; and anterior thoracic and pelvic assembly each of which is attached to the serrated discs on the superior and inferior margins of the lateral uprights.
