Immobilization Vacuum System Splint Set

Definition:
A collection of items designed for immobilizing a patient's extremities in any position when fractures or dislocations are suspected. It is applied to the splint which is molded to fit body contour. It gives the patient a comfortable ride by supporting the injured extremity firmly, but without inward pressure, and stays in place with straps firmly secured. May include vacuum vinyl laminated mattress, carry case, splint set (large, small, multi-use), case, attached hook/loop, metal vacuum pump with footplate, and other related items.
