Laboratory Syringe
Definition:
A device consisting of a barrel with a piston or a plunger. May be supplemented woth a needle or a delivery orifice on the distal end. May be specially designed. Used to deliver, transfer and/or store gases and fluids in a wide variety of applications, such as gas and liquid chromatography, handling of corrosive gases or liquids and transfer of radioactive and other dangerous gases or liquids. Not intended for injection or use on patients.
