Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery Transverse Rod

Definition:
An item which is a component part of a head frame for use in oral-maxillofacial, bi-phase pin fixation surgical procedures. Used with CLAMP, SLIDING, ORAL-MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY and SCREW BLOCK, CRANIAL, ORAL-MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY to serve as a temporary mechanical splint when attached to the mandible with two SCREW, BONE. If a longer item is needed, use ROD, LATERAL, ORAL-MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY.
