Definition:
An item designed for use with retractor blades and accessories as part of a self-retaining retractor system used in various types of surgical procedures. The item should have the ability to angulate individual segments to allow conformity to body contours. The item should be notched on the outer edge to allow adaptation of RATCHET MECHANISM, STANDARD and RATCHET MECHANISM, TILTING.
