Definition:
An item constructed of a breathable inner/outer cotton polyester shell for patient comfort. It is designed to increase venous blood flow in the lower extremities of the inactive recumbent patient in order to help prevent deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. This item is color coded for edging and may be designed with or without air chamber.
