Prosthetic Tracheal Tube

Definition:
A flexible, T-shaped, asymmetrical item with plug. It is designed for use in the management and support of acute tracheal trauma. The item can also be designed to maintain the patency of the tracheal airway by supporting a reconstructed stenotic trachea without inducing injury to the mucosal linings.
