Regular Surgical Compress
Definition:
A surgical wound covering made from cellulose batting covered with gauze on one or both sides and stitched down at the edges, or it may be covered by a seamless hose of gauze. It is applied and held firmly by the aid of a bandage over a wound dressing as an absorbing agent to prevent oozing.
