Safety Hypodermic Syringe
Definition:
A sterile, disposable item which consists of a barrel, plunger, and plastic luer lock hypodermic safety device on syringe. It is designed to prevent needle sticks and guard against infection by HIV and hepatitis. It may be used for a single injection of hypodermic medication. It does not include a needle.
