Surgical Foam Pad
Definition:
A piece of nontoxic foam plastic or foam rubber, plain or coated with surgically compatible type of adhesive, designed for use as a cushion, to prevent or relieve bedsores, to relieve pressure on a wound, as a cushion for an amputee stump, and like hospital situations. Other uses are to line shoes in treatment of foot conditions, under braces, for wheelchair padding, and the like.
