Surgical Gastrointestinal Tube
Definition:
A double lumen tubular item consisting of an integral mercury tip, curved distal end, segmented columns of mercury, X-ray opaqueline along length of tube, distance markings along distal and smoothly cut eyes evenly spaced. It is used for gastric analysis diagnosis, and treatment; removal of duodenal contents; and treatment and diagnosis of obstructive lesions of the large and small intestine.
