Tracheal Tube Support

Definition:
An L-shaped, right angle, metal device, designed to prevent drag and pull on TUBE(S), INHALER and similar items. It helps prevent accidental extubation, advancement of the TUBE, INHALER to a bronchial position, or kinking at the connector end. It may have slots on both angles to accept adult and pediatric corrugated anesthesia breathing tubing. Also may be positioned either above or below the operating table headpiece. This item can be used if the patient is in supine, prone or lateral position.
