Uterine Pessary
Definition:
A silicone, folding item, designed to be used for effective support in third degree prolapse, and for use in other cases associated with complete lack of vaginal tonicity. This support may also be used for suctioning action of the concave surfaces that are self-positioning upon insertion, and for the moist vaginal mucosa invaginates into the concavities, and by a slight negative pressure which holds the prolapse and keeps the vaginal walls from collapsing.
