Vial Access Cannula
Definition:
A sterile, disposable, intravenous type item, designed to access single dose drug vials. May include a rigid plastic cannula with vial access spike, and a mechanism to connect to the luer lock of a syringe and provide a rigid pointed plastic to access the top of a medication vial.
